King’s College is a small, for-profit career college founded in 1901. Located in Charlotte, NC, in the Elizabeth area just south of downtown, over half of students come from the Charlotte area. There is also on-campus housing for students.
King’s College awards both diplomas and Associate's degrees. The school's focus is on job placement for its graduates. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
According to Peterson’s ([1]) and recent institutional publications, King’s College had 1,279 applicants, of which 974 or 76% were admitted, producing an undergraduate population of 648. For the most recent year, 74% of entering students graduated, and 81% of available graduates were placed in jobs. The ones available to graduate are about 12% in each program.
King’s College provides career-focused courses to high school graduates. King’s College’s programs offer hands-on learning opportunities that prepare graduates to start working immediately. Some programs offer externships as well. Students can earn a diploma in 8-12 months. Associate degree programs can be completed in 14-16 months.
